Photo Contest and Exhibit
Iconic Toronto celebrates the culture and history of the city through the lens of photography
It’s going to be a fabulous fall and we are excited to announce the return of our annual photo contest! We look forward to seeing all the entries by local creators. The contest is supported by Tdot Shots and our sponsors, judges and volunteers. You can get involved!
This amazing city presents so many opportunities for amateur and professionals alike to flex their creative skills, snap photos, edit and submit to our contest. Submission is as simple as using our hashtag #iconictoronto on Instagram, during the contest period.
This is our 4th year! We have held our contest annually since 2019. Check out the finalists and winning selections for the 2021 photo contest.
How to get involved
Photographer or Creator? Entering your photos and images is simple. During the contest period simply use our hashtag #iconictoronto. That’s it. We also encourage you to follow @tdot_shots and our sponsors.
Are you a potential sponsor? We need your help! We welcome you to:
- Sponsor our events (support the community, promote your business)
- Hire us to create a photography event for your organization
- Collaborate with us on social media
Sponsors really helped us during our 2021 contest. Your support helps us with costs and the furnishing of prizes for the contest in fall 2022. We are also looking for venues to host a photo exhibit in 2023. We hope you will get involved with both events!
About the Contest: Dates and Prizes
Iconic Toronto is a photography project supporting creators in the Greater Toronto Area. Since 2019, we have hosted a photography contest. This event is produced in association with Tdot Shots and our generous sponsors.
Dates: This year our contest runs from Nov. 1 – November 30. We expect thousands of submissions during this 4-week period. Be sure to enter your shots!
Prizes: The prizes this year will include creative products and services, and participation in our feature posts. Winners will also be featured on our social media and websites. Categories include culture and street, architecture and history, and landscape and cityscape.
Join us as a participant or sponsor! We welcome collaboration with your organization. Read more about the rules of the contest at our site (rules and more details TBA). Toronto BIA organizations are welcome to participate – promote your community!
Good luck to all who enter!
