Celebrate Toronto Event and Ice Skating at City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square
We’re almost there! Spring is one the way, as snow mixes with slush and the warmer milder days are welcomed by Torontonians. FYI, there are two weeks left to skate at Nathan Phillips Square at Toronto City Hall. You have until March 19 to lace up those skates and take advantage of the end of winter skate season!
Skate rentals are available at City Hall right beside the skating rink that sits adjacent the famous Toronto sign in the Nathan Philips Square plaza. The skating takes place daily, weather permitting, from 9 AM to 9 pm. The rental website provides more information about skate rentals and services.
Skate rentals:
November 26th – March 19th 10am – 9:45pm Everyday
Double check with them as conditions may change with warming weather or rain.
Celebrate Toronto festival event
Celebrate Toronto returns this March for an epic evening honouring Toronto’s BIG 189th Anniversary.
Monday, March 6, marks the launch of Celebrate Toronto. Are you going to try to get out to enjoy the last few weeks of winter in downtown Toronto? These events looks like a great way to celeebrate the end of season and city’s birthday anniversary.
The event is very special and takes over the downtown core around City Hall. It will be held from March 6- 18 and we think it’s a special way to enjoy the city and end of winter.
According to the City of Toronto website:
“Celebrate Toronto has expanded its annual celebration of Toronto’s anniversary into 2 weeks of programming across the city. Join us March 6th as we transform Nathan Phillips Square into a massive celebration of our city. Between March 6th-18th Celebrate Toronto will host multiple pop-up events throughout the city, hightlighting arts, music & culture.”
